Cooling Tower Maintenance
Optimal cooling water treatment with corrosion inhibitors for cooling water systems-
Unless cooling circuits are maintained properly, they can quickly deteriorate, potentially costing you lost revenue in manufacturing down time as well as the cost of replacing the unit itself.
Efficient and safe cooling tower maintenance requires a range of carefully matched chemicals.
Our range of Corfit CT products include corrosion inhibitors, hardness stabilisers and dispersants. Please see below to review the various Corfit CT products we carry.
Corfit CT Protect A
Hardness Stabilier, Corrosion Inhibitor and Dispersant for Cooling Systems with Hard Water and High Solid Content
Corfit Protect A is used in the ‘all organic’ method to prevent scale, encrustation and sludge formation in cooling systems and non-potable water systems with higher solid matter content, e.g. re-cooling systems, refineries, chemical and steel plants and in rinsing water from waste gas cleaning plants. Unlike Corfit Protect B, the target effect is primarily hardness stabilisation.
Corfit CT Protect B
Corrosion Inhibitor, Hardness Stabiliser and Dispersant for Cooling Systems with Hard Water and High Corrosion Protection Requirements
Corfit Protect B is a liquid corrosion inhibitor and is used in the “all organic” method in open / semi-open cooling systems at the same time to prevent scale, encrustations and sludge formation in cooling water and non-potable water systems with high corrosion susceptibility. It can even be used in hard (CH > 12°dH) and hot (80°C) water and is compatible with the biocides Sanosil Super 25 or C.
Corfit Protect B is a highly effective corrosion inhibitor and is the preferred choice for use in facilities highly susceptible to corrosion and / or with mixed materials such as steel and copper.
Corfit CT Closed STD
Corrosion Inhibitor and Dispersant for Cooling Systems with Softened Water and Mixed Materials (Excluding Aluminium)
Corfit Closed Std is a liquid, alkaline anti-corrosion and dispersant additive for closed-loop cooling systems with mixed materials such as steel and non-ferrous metals (excl. aluminium) that are operated with osmosis water.
Alternatively, Corfit Closed Std can also be used for open systems operated with osmosis (and demineralised) water at high concentrations (up to 15:1).
The thermal and chemical stability of the individual components of Corfit Closed Std guarantees excellent long-term effects.
Corfit Closed Al
Corrosion Inhibitor and Dispersant for Cooling Systems with Softened Water and Mixed Materials (Including Aluminium)
Corfit Closed Al is a liquid anti-corrosion and dispersant additive for closed-loop cooling systems with mixed materials such as steel and non-ferrous metals (incl. aluminium) that are operated with osmosis water. Its dispersant components prevent deposits on pipe walls, thereby creating conditions for the formation of an anti-corrosion film.
The thermal and chemical stability of the individual components of Corfit Closed Al guarantees excellent long-term effects.
Corfit CT Initial
Non-ionogenic dispersant for the pre-treatment of open cooling systems
Corfit Initial is a non-ionogenic dispersant for cleaning/pre-treating cooling systems with organic residues. It dissolves and disperses oil and/or grease residues, mobilises organic residues and enhances the effect of oxidating biocides, especially when performing shock treatments for disinfection.
Corfit CT Bright
Purification and descaling agent with anti-corrosion properties and colour indicator
Corfit Bright consists of (powdered) amidosulfonic acid, a corrosion inhibitor, and a colour indicator. It is used to purify and passivate new cooling systems when running them in, and also to remove heavy limescale from cooling towers, lines, autoclaves, etc.
