AquaChem provides Legionella Risk Assessments, Legionella control, testing, treatment and maintenance of water systems at large office blocks and for a range of industries and organisations including creches, schools and colleges, hospitals and nursing homes and large manufacturing plants.
Our team of expert water specialists provide an end to end service for Legionella control. AquaChem prides itself on being a leader in Innovative Green Water Treatment and Management. We identify the risk, find the problem and offer the solution.
An Overview of the AquaChem process:
Firstly, a Risk Assessor looks at the complete site, examines the building’s entire water system, inspects the water storage units for both fresh drinking water and showering. Samples are taken for the presence of bacteria including Legionella, Cryptosporidium, E. coli among many others.
Samples are sent to a laboratory in Ireland to test the water quality.
Results usually come back within 10 working days at which point the AquaChem team will provide options and treatment solutions to the customer.
An AquaChem technician will discuss all possible solutions with the client. These solutions could include daily flushing, temperature monitoring and/or disinfection of the system with Sanosil Super 25AG.
If water storage units, pipe work or water collection units need to be repaired or replaced our team will also provide expert advice for the customer.
The customer is given a complete manual of all the water testing at every stage so that they have a record of clean water compliance with a detailed report of what treatments occurred and on what date.
A contract is drawn up between the client and AquaChem determining how often tests will be carried out.
Legionella Risk Assessment
A Legionella Risk Assessment must then be done every year, this is legally binding under the Health & Safety Act. For Legionella Risk Assessments, AquaChem use an Independent Risk Assessor complying with and conforming to all national guidelines. An Independent Risk Assessor ensures there is no bias and a logbook is prepared for each site.
Legionella Risk Assessment
Legionnaires is a man-made disease that was created when humans started to store water and heating it up to a temperature that causes problems.
Cleaning & Disinfecting
The cleaning and disinfection of water systems on a regular basis is an essential part of the AquaChem process to help minimise the risk of bacteria such as the organisms which cause Legionnaires’ Disease from growing in water systems.
The risk from Legionella in water systems is greatly reduced if regular monitoring and sampling is carried out. AquaChem use timely and reliable sample analysis in order to perform a wide range of tests.
In Ireland, AquaChem is the only company that can offer the full range of sanoisl chemicals for disinfection of water systems
