Disinfection mist with compact spray cone: Why advantageous in small rooms?
Experts agree: the larger the room, the more powerful the possibility of generating cold mist aerosol must be. In contrast, the spray jet of a compressor and corresponding fine mist nozzle has only a limited range, unlike a turbine air jet. But why can this be an advantage?
Well, the answer is simple:
While in a large room e.g. >100 m3 the disinfection mist is mixed thoroughly by a turbine to achieve an optimal mixing of the mist with the volume of the room, in a small room such as a vehicle the far-reaching jet of a turbine device quickly bounces off the walls and ceilings. The Aersol droplets condense at these points instead of being able to spread evenly throughout the room. In the worst case this leads to discolouration, corrosion or moisture damage at the affected area. Conversely, mist cones of disinfectant produced by the compressor nozzle dissolve much more quickly shortly after the nozzle is inserted and diffuse more evenly into the air. Compressor units are therefore technologically superior to aerosol units, especially in smaller rooms.
